Data protection statement
We advise clients on data governance for a living, so it would be awkward to run a surveillance-heavy website. This one collects as close to nothing as a website can.
No cookies. No analytics. No advertising or tracking pixels. No embedded social media. No third-party fonts, scripts or content delivery networks — everything this page loads comes from artabel.ch. No contact form, so nothing is submitted to us through the site. If you email us, we keep that email.

Legal framework
This statement covers the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nDSG) and, where the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 applies to visitors in the European Economic Area, the GDPR.
What the website collects
Cookies and local storage: none. This site sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage. There is therefore no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
Analytics: none. We run no analytics, no heatmaps, no session recording and no fingerprinting. We do not know which pages you read.
Third-party requests: none. Fonts, stylesheets, scripts and images are served from artabel.ch. Your browser makes no requests to third-party analytics, advertising, font or social-media services while loading this site. Our hosting provider receives the technical request data described below.
Server logs. As with any web server, our hosting provider records technical request data — IP address, timestamp, requested resource, HTTP status, referring page and user-agent string — for the purpose of operating and securing the service. This processing rests on our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); FADP Art. 31). Logs are retained only for the period needed for operations and security, and are not used to profile visitors or combined with other data.
If you contact us
When you write to info@artabel.ch, la@artabel.ch or telephone us, we process the contact details and the content you send in order to respond and, where it leads to work, to manage the engagement. The basis is pre-contractual or contractual necessity (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), or our legitimate interest in answering business correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f)).
We keep business correspondence for as long as the relationship and the applicable Swiss commercial and tax retention periods require, then delete it. We do not use your address for marketing, we operate no newsletter, and we do not pass your details to anyone else for their own purposes.
Recipients and processors
Our hosting and email providers process data on our instructions under data-processing agreements. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not disclose it for another organisation’s own purposes. Where a provider is located outside Switzerland or the EEA, transfers rely on the recognised safeguards — an adequacy decision or the Standard Contractual Clauses.
In project work, any processing of client or partner data is governed by the relevant contract, consortium agreement or data-processing agreement, not by this website statement. Our standing rule is that client and partner material is never sent to general-purpose AI services without documented authority.
Your rights
- Access — confirmation of whether we process data about you, and a copy of it.
- Rectification — correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure — deletion, where no retention obligation applies.
- Restriction and objection — including objection to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Portability — a machine-readable copy where the GDPR provides for it.
- Complaint — to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EEA, to your national supervisory authority.
Write to info@artabel.ch to exercise any of these. We answer within the period the applicable law requires. Access is normally free of charge.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, with content-type and framing protections and a restrictive permissions policy. Correspondence is held on access-controlled systems.
Children
This site is aimed at professional and institutional visitors and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we ever add a contact form, analytics or an embedded service, this statement will be updated before that change goes live, and the nature of the change will be stated here.
