VRPIS — a whole plant, digitised and still running

A configurable enterprise platform covering procurement and sales, production workflow, inventory control, transportation and logistics coordination, financial accounting, correspondence management, and reporting and analytics — customised to the plant and interoperable with the systems already in place.

Continuous production operation since 2008 is the reference that matters here. It demonstrates permissioned data flows, role-based access, document circulation and approval, release control, auditability and the kind of maintainability that only shows up over a decade. Artabel is lead developer and system integrator.

Measurement above 700 °C, and a factory that knows where its vehicles are

Two connected pieces of instrumentation. The first automates molten-metal level measurement in extreme conditions, delivered in both a handheld and a robotic-arm version, with readings written directly into the information system.

The second is a smart vehicle beacon for real-time factory monitoring: position and speed tracking, alerting in restricted areas and dangerous situations, and data capture that feeds analytics and process optimisation. Safety-relevant hardware, ordinary-looking software, and a closed loop between the two.

Lifetime prediction for electrical parts from fifty-plus sensor streams

Aggregation of data from more than fifty sensors into analysis of performance trends and failure patterns, then AI-driven lifetime prediction supporting predictive maintenance. A time-series problem with a real cost attached to both false alarms and missed failures — which is exactly why the evaluation mattered as much as the model.

LARA — an expert risk method, turned into software people trust

Artabel converted a specialist laboratory risk-assessment methodology into operational decision-support software: structured data capture, transparent calculation logic, corrective-measure assessment and auditable reporting.

The engineering challenge was not the algorithm. It was encoding practitioner-defined rules so that a safety officer can inspect and defend every step, keeping decisions bounded, and leaving human authority exactly where the institution had placed it. Contract research and software delivery for one of Europe’s leading technical universities.

Eight years of paper archive, turned into something answerable

Digitisation of an eight-year document archive, then AI-driven classification and search on top of it, AI-powered information extraction and analytics, corporate knowledge management, task management, a financial dashboard covering both the property and securities portfolio, and internet reputation and competition monitoring.

A good illustration of what “document intelligence” means when it is not a demo: the value came from the ingestion and classification work that nobody puts in a pitch deck.

Artabel’s continuing development line, combining document ingestion, OCR and metadata extraction with semantic search, source-grounded retrieval-augmented generation and AI-assisted analysis under human review.
