Artabel AG was founded in 2004. It began in international trade, went on to build industrial information systems and factory instrumentation, and now also engineers applied artificial intelligence.

LARA, from 2015, converts an EPFL laboratory risk method into auditable decision-support software. Predictive modelling for onsemi follows.

Industrial information systems
VRPIS goes into daily use at Confal in Slovakia. The industrial work also includes instrumentation for Slovalco and an immersive CAVE for TU Zvolen.

Applied AI as the core
An ongoing intelligent-document programme establishes the current engine: ingestion, retrieval, source-grounded generation, human review.

Engineering is the core of the company. Where a project turns on professional judgement that engineers do not have, that judgement is part of the team from the scoping conversation.
Clinical governance
Medical work is reviewed by a clinician and researcher with publications on the certification pathway for clinical chatbots — at what point an AI tool becomes a regulated medical device, and what certification then requires.
Heritage and digital humanities
Heritage specialists contribute collection interpretation and narrative, provenance and attribution, and advice on who may authorise a release. Their disciplines include art history and, for untranslated ancient sources, classical philology.
